I have had the opportunity to ride the Orbea Terra thanks to Sports Garage. I have truly enjoyed riding it, way more than I ever expected. To be honest, I was a bit of a skeptic as to why I would possibly need or would ride a gravel bike.
A little bit about me, I have been riding bikes competitively since 1993 (yikes that makes me old!). I started with mountain bike racing and picked up road and cyclocross in 1996. Being a cyclocross racer, I have always loved skinny tires on dirt - another reason I was quite unsure if I would need a gravel bike (given that I was already an owner of a cyclocross bike). I am sure many of you will not be shocked but I truly love riding the Terra. I was so pleasantly surprised by how fast it is up and down hills. This bike is incredibly stable on downhills, making it an absolute blast on both road or gravel descents. I have also ridden it on some of our easier trails around Boulder and again was enamored with how it handles. It rolls beautifully with 25-30 psi even on paved sections.
The fit is very easily tuned to you - comfortable gravel geometry makes riding for hours on end very doable. Sports Garage helped me with multiple stem swaps to help dial in my fit, which is a testament to how versatile the fit of this bike is.
To sum it up, this bike is fast and fun! Even a skeptic like myself thinks this bike is a must add to my quiver of bikes.
